*are you sure you're working on the same layer that the ellipse is on?
*is the eraser tool actually the "eraser tool" and not highlighted as: - background eraser tool (eraser with scissors) - magic eraser tool (eraser with star)

go to Layer->Rasterize->Shape
that should do it
because the shape is still changeable... it does not contain actual pixels till you tell them that you are done changing the shape as a path
rasterizing it should resolve this problem

I have a new problem with photoshop, well actually 2 new problems:
1. Its been crashing my pc. 2. When I try to delete the background, it doesnt take it to the gray and white boxes, which tells you that all of the background is totally deleted and then you can move the part you want without anything. Right now when I delete the background it goes white and it moves with the pic.
Help?

the square are transparances, if you erase a pic in the format that can't be transpertant, it will be white, can't help you with 1

For my first problem(where its been crashing my pc), I just deleted it, but kept the winzip files supplied to me by Lin and I'm going to reinstall it to see if it solves this problem.
