With what part are you having trouble with? I'll make a summary: 1) Each stat point, relatively speaking, helps less and less as you put more into a single stat. Because of this loss of utlity, it's often would be better if this was invested elsewhere, where it could provide more benefit. 2) Motion is relative. It would take the ninja a lot longer to walk to you if you were walking away from the ninja than if you stood still because your move-speed essentially cancels out most of the ninja's speed. So, in effect, it's the difference between the two speeds that counts and that's why the 0.02 is not as useless as it may seem. 3) Melee archer can be very strong if properly used because range helps certain types of melee attacks as well.
For mathematical backing and more detailed explaination, refer to the first post =P
I'd also like to note that the economics one is most helpful for non-power users like me because we can't use any points after level 14... so pumping up ranged leaves only few points left which would only increase armor by a tiny bit so my opinion is that dodging a shot completely saves more armor than that small remainder can provide.
I understand torment's position though, cuz the small boosts in movespeed may not help that too much either in dodging. Perhaps, the best option is to split the boost between armor and movespeed, -shrug-
Btw, energy might be better to fight against chaos, cuz some chaos attacks kill energy directly even with full armor.

Well, that isnt something every1 is worried about, more or less... health is destoryed extremely faster than armor. So 1 point of armor will block say, 5 attacks, (not really, just an example) While it will take 1 attack to destory the same amount of health.

Have you actually tested it on somebody with the exact same # of health and armor?

you can tell... your armor goes down in intervals of | | your health, | | . Even with more armor, thats alot.

I actually printed the first post out and read it during my night Chemistry 30A class. Good Job. And faintly amusing.

=D Are you a teacher or a student? I don't imagine I can think of a way to apply chemistry in Rakion though XD

I've never noted that before... I'll do a test one of these days perhaps...

I'm a college student. Heh. This class is mimicking everything I learned in Junior year Chemistry, but crammed into one semester with one 3 hour lecture a week. I also haven't heard of many 18.5 year old teachers/ professors, but I am betting its possible.

I dunno, there's some prodigies out there who could give professors a run for their money

My dad was a professor when he was age 15; but anyhow, I didn't think to check your profile for your age ^_^

Ok, back to the original topic:
So what you're saying, is that once you've put 20 stat points into range, which would make it 100/100 if I'm correct, then it would do you better to move into pouring your stat points into something else, say Cell Destruct, which would help in golem, or anything else u would want to up?

No, I'm saying that when you have over 100 ranged attack then each stat point raises your attack by less than 1%. It's really up to the player to decide which way is better. Some players might not kill cells at all. But I will offer one more mathematical example...
Lets say you have 100 ranged and 0 Cell Desctruction. You have 6 stat points sitting there. If you put all in ranged then it would have increased your attack power by 6%. If you had placed 3 in ranged and 3 in cell destruction then it would be 103 x 1.03 = 106.09 when you fight cells, but only 103 when you fight players. Even at lets 120 ranged attack and 20 cell destruction vs 140 ranged. 140 x 1.4 = 144 vs cells and 120 vs players... The main issue with cell destruction is that is has no utility vs. players so marginal utility in ranged remains strong. That lesson is probably much more helpful for non-archers though that golem rush.
BTW... I'd like to update the numbers in my my physics lesson. I found out Archer movespeed actually increases by 0.024 rather than 0.02 (even better!)

This theory stated in Post #1 and elsewhere also works for most of the other aspects on Archer and the other characters right?

cool, thanks for that recap pureheadshot. i guess it was just the length of the post and so many big words. i was probably feeling lazy that day.

It doesn't work in just Rakion characters =P These are Economic and Physics theories which apply to the entire world =P Economic Theory applies to anything that has a limited supply such as stat points. Physics would apply to nearly everything that moves.
